The Multimedia Production Coordinator at Seton Hall University plays a pivotal role in enhancing university initiatives by managing and delivering professional-quality video and multimedia content. The coordinator is responsible for the entire production process from pre-production planning such as storyboarding and scripting to post-production efforts including editing, graphic design, and distribution across various platforms. Key responsibilities include leveraging advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry leading production software, to ensure all productions meet the university’s high standards and branding guidelines. Additionally, the coordinator manages multimedia equipment and production spaces, coordinates with IT and University Relations to maintain consistent messaging, and stays updated with the latest technological advancements to integrate cutting-edge solutions into university media resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Video and Multimedia Production: performs tasks including, but not limited to, pre-production planning, storyboarding, script generation, video capture, audio capture, lighting, editing, post-production effects, branding, graphic design, encoding, distribution via on- or off-line platforms, cataloging, and archiving for all live, on-demand or web-based pieces. Motion graphic production, utilizing Adobe After Effects and similar post-production tools. Post-production for all video produced, including green-screen/chroma keying, color correction, and audio editing. Live event production and enhancement, for events both in person and virtual events utilizing streaming equipment and platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, and Microsoft Teams Live events.
Equipment Maintenance and Testing: responsible for all management and maintenance of video equipment. Aids in scheduling yearly maintenance and aids in selecting and testing new equipment and software for Multimedia and Video Production in the TLTC and multimedia production spaces on campus.
Production Coordination: responsible for coordinating efforts related to all video and multimedia production within the current content management system and other relevant information systems. Production and management of university podcasts, and the university podcast platform. Works with cross-functional teams in IT and University relations to make sure of consistent branding and message amongst all web based multimedia production.
Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in digital media production, video editing, and live event support. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the quality and impact of the University's digital media content through innovative approaches and techniques. Assist with training and knowledge of digital production spaces on campus and research trends and new techniques for professional development for the digital media team.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of related experience. Proficient in the Adobe Creative suite. Experience in Video and Multimedia Production and Coordination, Video Editing, Live Broadcasting or Webcasting, Podcasting, Film Production.
