FITNESS INSTRUCTOR 2018 - 2019 - Rec Center South Orange
Our Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading structured exercise classes for the University community. Instructors develop lesson plans, supervise class participants, and work with us to provide a safe and effective environment. It is helpful if applicants have some experience teaching similar programs in a group setting, but not mandatory. An understanding of current trends in fitness is also desired. Experience is not necessary, however the desire to learn is. We will provide the opportunity for each applicant to attend certification classes in exchange for a one year commitment to teach.

Student Technology Assistant - TLTC - 2018/2019 South Orange
Student Technology Assistants are our academic consultants for excellence, and assist with maintaining the classroom audiovisual equipment and implementing faculty technology projects. STAs are also responsible for providing support to all phases of Teaching, Learning and Technology Center operations, including, but not limited to: web development, graphic design, multimedia production, Blackboard support, classroom technology support and general tech support. STAs are specifically trained to handle tasks such as audio and video production and editing, document scanning with or without optical character recognition (OCR), digital imaging, graphic design, Blackboard support, web development and a host of other new media skills. The Digital Media team also often employs these student workers to beta test our projects as well as provide quality assurance reviews.
Wellness Coordinator, SOM Office of Student Affairs and Wellbeing South Orange, Interprofessional Health Sciences
The Wellness Coordinator, SOM Office of Student Affairs and Wellbeing will play a critical role in providing wellness coaching and wellbeing programs to our medical students. The individual will provide workshops and individualized counseling on study skills, exam preparation, academic coaching, tutoring and identification and referral for additional services as needed.
Graduate Assistant TLTC South Orange
Graduate Assistants at the Teaching Learning Technology Center are a part of the Student Technology Assistant program. A Student Technology Assistant is a Seton Hall University student who works within the Department of Information Technology with Web design, technical support, webcasting, videotaping, video editing, computer training and much more. Academic Consultants for Excellence (ACE) is a branch of the STA program located in Walsh Library that promotes and supports technology in a teaching and learning environment. ACE is responsible for maintaining audio-visual equipment in select classrooms, acting as the main contact of all faculty technology projects and offering classes in various areas of SHUs software. Duties of the ACE GA position include working in conjunction with TLTC Staff to manage STAs and the projects they work on. Management includes verifying and processing Timesheets, interviewing prospective STAs, assessing, assigning and overseeing projects both through an electronic database and face-to-face, updating several databases, attending and helping to run Leader/Supervisor meetings and General ACE Lab meetings as well as planning and participating in special events (evening/weekend SHU Open Houses/Previews, parties/training for the STAs). The Graduate Assistant may also work closely with the web development and/or Blackboard team to manage/edit content. Handling web development tickets, and delegating editing work amongst the student technology assistants will be a key focus for the graduate assistant. Overall the graduate assistant will play a key role in helping the web development and content teams update and maintain the university website.
