The School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) at Seton Hall University invites applications for a twelve-month faculty position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology beginning May 1, 2024. The incumbent will engage in teaching in their area of expertise, scholarship, and service to the department, School and University.
The School of Health and Medical Sciences at Seton Hall University has a significant national presence in health sciences education. The School has assumed a leadership role in offering high quality, innovative programs at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels with a longstanding commitment to interprofessional education (IPE). The School of Health and Medical Sciences offers opportunities for collaborative research, teaching, and grantsmanship across several disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising graduate students, community outreach, supervising of clinical education-based programming, participating on committees at the department, school, and university level, and engaging in relevant scholarship in one’s area of expertise.
Required Qualifications:
Licensure or eligibility for New Jersey licensure and for student supervision per ASHA CFCC guidelines, at least 3 years clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist; preference will be given to applicants with a doctoral degree.
Desired Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the graduate level and a record of scholarship are preferred.
