The Office of Scheduling and Operations is seeking top-level, organized, customer service focused, team-oriented, and innovative graduate students to assist with the management and staffing of campus events and programs. The graduate intern will gain valuable experience in event management, staffing management, assessment, marketing, and leadership development.
Under the supervision of the Director of the Campus Inclusion Center and Business Affairs, the Graduate Intern for Scheduling & Events provides critical support to our Scheduling & Events Office through assisting in supervision of the student staff, contributing to the overall client experience by providing support for mainly evening/weekend events, and other initiatives that promote student success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- • Assist with supervision of student staff members working at our two main event spaces the University Center and Bethany Hall, training student employees, and holding regular check-in meetings to ensure successful event support.
• Aid in development of student worker employment training program and creation of training resources and information.
• Exemplifying high-quality customer service standards, responding to e-mail inquiries for Scheduling e-mail account, and responding to on-site client needs.
• Supervise student workers during night and weekend events in the University Center and Bethany Hall.
• Staff events in emergencies when student staff are not available to support evening events (various between weekend, late night, and evening programming)
• May represent Scheduling & Events at signature university-wide events and programs such as Open House, Pirate Preview, New Student Orientation, and other events if needed by Director of CIC and Business Affairs
• Support internal and external clients in preparation for upcoming event set-ups.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Programs & Engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
Enrolled as an active/matriculated graduate student
Good judicial standing
