The primary purpose of this position is to assist the head coach in the organization, development, and planning of the basketball program. This position must assist in all aspects of practice-planning/floor responsibilities and assist in all aspects of recruiting. This position requires the assessment of student-athlete’s ability to compete academically and athletically. This position serves as the Co-Director of the youth summer camps. The assistant coach is responsible for the concerns and welfare of his/her student athletes both on and off the field of competition. This includes monitoring the academic performance and furthering the success of the team in meeting academic and eligibility criteria set forth by the university and the NCAA. The assistant coach is responsible for the safety, behavior and appearance of the student-athletes and managers under his/her direction while representing the university. This includes all facets of daily interaction with academic, resident and student life communities as well as all entities involved in travel and competition for away contests. He/she must have knowledge of and strictly adhere to NCAA, BIG EAST, University and departmental rules, policies and procedures. |

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) has an opening for a full-time, 12-month Staff Psychologist/Mental Health Clinician to join our diverse team of dedicated, collaborative, and fun professionals. This position is responsible for providing mental health services for students on Seton Hall University’s main South Orange campus as well as on the Interprofessional Health Sciences (IHS) campus in Nutley, NJ. The position includes a new competitive salary range and very generous benefits package. CAPS provides a full range of multiculturally sensitive counseling services to all university students.
The Staff Psychologist/Mental Health Clinician works as a member of a collaborative team providing both group and time-limited individual counseling, intake assessments, and mental health programming to undergraduate and graduate students. The position also involves providing crisis intervention services during regular business hours as well as frequent consultation with faculty and administrators regarding the well-being of students. This team member participates in the department’s doctoral training program, will engage in ongoing professional development, and participate in weekly case conference/consultation meetings.
The position supports the department’s and the University’s strategic initiative and commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all community members. The role requires possession of strong clinical skills, ability to work independently, a demonstrated commitment to working effectively from a multicultural framework, the ability to manage a full client caseload, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. |
