Seton Hall University seeks applicants for adjunct professor positions in German, beginning in Fall 2024. The positions will be in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates will have a Master’s degree or higher and have experience in teaching German. The teaching load will be two courses per semester.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide quality instruction and evaluation in German to students in various level courses. Teach Elementary Germ on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45 am and Intermediate German on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00-12:15. Develop assignments and evaluations/tests following department guidelines and academic calendar. Maintain course documentation on Canvas; communicate with students regularly. Possible tutoring opportunities (paid separately) in addition to teaching responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher and experience in teaching German

Salary Grade:

FA01 - Faculty

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
