JOB SUMMARY:

The Career Center is seeking proactive and enthusiastic student leaders to join our team as Career Ambassadors. This role is specifically designed to support career initiatives for the Stillman School of Business. Career Ambassadors will work closely with career advisors for business majors, engage with student organizations, and assist in the execution of career-related workshops and promotional events.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.         Support Career Initiatives:

o          Assist in the development and implementation of career programs tailored for business students.

o          Work closely with career advisors who specialize in business majors, including accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, marketing, management, sport management, international business, IT, supply management, MBA, finance, and business undecided, and others.

2.         Student Organization Engagement:

o          Represent the Career Center at meetings and events hosted by business-related student organizations.

o          Act as a liaison between the Career Center and business student organizations to promote career resources and opportunities.

3.         Event Coordination and Promotion:

o          Help plan, organize, and facilitate career-related workshops and events for the Stillman School of Business.

o          Promote Career Center events and services through various channels, including social media, flyers, and email campaigns.

4.         Peer Advising and Support:

o          Provide peer-to-peer guidance on resume building, cover letter writing, and job search strategies, when needed.

o          Assist students in navigating Career Center resources and services, when needed.

5.         Administrative Support:

o          Help with administrative tasks related to event planning and execution.

o          Maintain accurate records of student engagement and feedback.

6.         Marketing and Outreach:

o          Assist in creating marketing materials for Career Center initiatives targeting business students.

o          Conduct outreach to increase awareness and participation in Career Center programs among business majors.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

           Current enrollment as an undergraduate, junior or senior or graduate student in the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University.

           Strong organizational and time management skills.

           Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

           Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of social media platforms.

           Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

           Positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn.

           Previous experience in leadership roles or student organizations is a plus.
