GAME MANAGEMENT: This position is a great opportunity to work hands on with Seton Hall University Athletics. Student workers will be in charge of setup and breakdown of all our varsity athletic events on campus. Workers are required to show up a couple of hours before game time to help setup fields/facility for that night or afternoons event and then help breakdown following the conclusion of the event. During game you will be working the event by working lines, taking tickets, crowd control & escorting teams. Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights & weekends.
TICKET OFFICE: Seton Hall University Ticket Seller will be responsible for selling/printing tickets for all customers looking to purchase tickets at the ticket window or over the telephone for Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball and other events as assigned. This includes extensive customer contact, processing of ticket orders using ticket software as well as cash handling, all of which is expected to do be with the utmost care and professionalism. Ticket seller may also be asked to assist in setting up or breaking down of event components, including stanchions and tents and tearing of tickets for admission into events. Must be available to work nights and weekends and hours will vary.
EQUIPMENT ROOM: The student worker will provide laundry service for all game and practice clothing for all 14 intercollegiate sports. Responsibilities include inventory and distribution of assigned sports involving equipment and apparel. The student worker will assist in packing travel bags for away events and set up of locker rooms for home events. This position requires weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
PIRATE BLUE: As a successful Pirate Blue Athletic student worker, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, specifically athletics marketing and development: Assist with outreach for fundraising programs with alumni, parents and friends through basketball season ticket sales. Assist with marketing of Pirate Blue events and programs through direct mail and web promotions Write articles for Pirate Blue Varsity Club Newsletter (former student-athlete newsletter)
Update Pirate Blue social networking sites. Assist with fundraising events (golf outings, dinner, etc.)
