Teaching Assistant for the Patient Care Simulation Lab

Specific activities include: 1. Assisting nursing students practicing skills of health assessment and nursing intervention; 2. Assisting Coordinator of the Skills Lab and faculty in preparing and managing supplies and equipment for classes; 3. Assisting the Coordinator of the Clinical Skills Lab in inventory of equipment and supplies; 4. Checking out and checking in equipment borrowed by students and faculty; 5. Keeping lab rooms neat and clean and encouraging students to clean up after themselves; 6. Ensuring lab security upon leaving the lab by using keys and access code provided by the campus security department; 7. Facilitating compliance of lab rules and policies with students and faculty using the lab; 8. Facilitating simulation activities under the direction of the Director of Clinical Simulation to include: staging and setting up scenarios prior to the scheduled activity, assisting faculty members during the simulations, including managing simulation related software, and concluding simulations with sequential termination of technology; 9. Other lab related duties as needed.
Applicants must possess an understanding of and willingness to support the Seton Hall University Catholic mission. They also must have a BSN and be currently enrolled as a matriculated MSN Student at Seton Hall University. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, as well as effective organization skills, and be computer literate.
NJ State RN License required.
