JOB SUMMARY
Skilled Graduate Student Worker - A&S Dean's Office
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support event planning for College Awards Wine and Cheese Event and conferences supported by the Office of the Dean
- Coordinating the Dean’s Advising Council meetings, providing essential support for proposed initiatives.
- Work directly with DAC members to facilitate successful initiatives, following up as appropriate.
- Manage and staff the Dean’s Speaker Series every Friday, including speaker coordination, meetings, poster creation, promotion, and presentation assistance.
- Take charge of program marketing efforts, ensuring effective communication and outreach.
- Contribute to day-to-day college operations, providing strategic support and communication.
- Assist in various special projects, including event coordination, recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs, and retention initiatives
- Answer phones in the Dean’s Office during work study/secretarial staff absence, directing students appropriately.
- Communicate with students via email, writing, and phone calls.
- Provide exemplary customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Attend events as requested.
- Undertake additional assignments as needed by the Interim Dean and his team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; acceptance into a Graduate Program
- Understanding of and willingness to support Seton Hall University's Catholic mission.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with high levels of tact, responsibility, proactive thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent social media skills, particularly with Instagram, and engagement with student trends.
- Creativity
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
