JOB SUMMARY:

The EOF Summer Peer Mentoring program pairs upperclassmen EOF students with incoming freshmen during their summer program to guide and provide support through their 6-week summer bridge program. EOF peer mentors will create a premier student experience over the summer and acclimates students to the University community. Peer Mentors serve as a resource to students beginning at orientation and through their first year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Serve as a positive leader, helping mentees succeed during the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Summer Program
· Assist mentees in developing an awareness of academic resources and opportunities, policies, and support services
· Attend and participate in leadership experiences with enthusiasm
· Be highly accessible and responsive to the needs of your mentees and respond accordingly
· Participate in performance assessments to identify areas of growth and improvement
· Represent the EOF program in a positive, appropriate, and professional manner
· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Must be a current EOF student at Seton Hall University
· Completed at least 30 credits at Seton Hall University
· Be in good standing with the EOF Programs and Seton Hall University
· Be available to attend mandatory trainings and events
· Be available to participate in EOF Summer Institutes

• New Student Orientation (June)
• EOF Summer Institute (June-August)
