Assists students and parents regarding the financial aid process and provides information on available programs, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Review financial aid applications and related documentation for compliance with eligibility requirements. Assists students and parents in the completion of financial aid applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reviews, verifies, and assesses applications and support documents following established guidelines to determine financial aid eligibility.

2. Act as a liaison between the Financial Aid and Human Resources department concerning Tuition Remission benefits. Post awards and adjust as needed. Reach out to employees and students regarding this benefit when required.

3. Provides information to students and families regarding the options for obtaining financial aid, the process for requesting aid, and the eligibility requirements for receiving and maintaining aid. Work within a rotation at our front counter and/or back-office support.

4. Maintain responsible contact with students and families by way of rotating front counter responsibilities and following up on referrals from the call center. Ability to identify the needs/concerns of others, determine potential solutions, and resolve or redirect appropriately.

5. Maintain suspense reports by resolving discrepant data which may also include contacting students for appropriate resolution.

Required Qualifications:

High school Diploma

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 1-2 years of experience

Salary Grade:

Staff Union (Local 153) - SU18.0

Exempt/Nonexempt: Non Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
