The Department of Accounting and Taxation in the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor to start in the Fall of 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The teaching load is three courses per semester with a maximum of two preparations per semester. Our courses are typically taught in person, on the South Orange campus, though graduate offerings may be delivered in a hybrid or asynchronous modality. We emphasize hands-on learning and a high degree of student-faculty interaction.

Required Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who will balance excellence in teaching with an active research portfolio, along with engagement in the school and university community. An ideal candidate for assistant professor will have a PhD from an accredited university and be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, including, but not limited to, financial accounting, managerial accounting, and intermediate accounting. Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) in accounting may be considered. An ideal candidate for associate professor will have accumulated a portfolio of publications published in peer-reviewed journals and established the potential to continue in their current research program. They should also have demonstrated excellence in teaching.
