The Housing Operations Coordinator is a 12 month live in position which reports to the Assistant Director for Housing Operations. The essential duties include support of room selection and assignment processes, management of break housing processes, assisting with summer residents and conference housing, promotion of housing serivces, oversight of Desk Assistant operations, and serving in the on-campus on-call rotation. The Housing Operations coordinator will also assist in residence hall management as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Housing Operations - Assist supervisor with management of Housing database for room selection and assignment, room condition and damage billing, meal plan assignment and billing. Prepare daily, weekly reports as needed, particulary in absence of supervisor.

Management of Break & Summer Housing Process - Plan and implement comprehensive Break Housing program to include promotion of break housing, coordination with campus partners, application process, oversee approval of applications, maintenance of rosters, coordination of required security for break periods, assessment of billing for individual students. Assist supervisor with summer housing for students to include assignments and billing. Assist with summer conferences to include marketing, hosting, and billing.

Adminstrative - Assist with the coordination of on campus vendor services who need access to the halls. Manage storage room, furniture, and moving bin inventories. Support Central Office management through ordering supplies, managing calls and walk ins, responding to emails in residencelife@shu.edu mailbox, and supporting the Office Assistant student workers. Assists with building management in the absence of a Residence Coordinator.

Promotion - Assist with promotion of housing services to maximize occupancy and to increase utilization using multi-media to reach audience

Desk Assistants - Assist with oversight of Desk Assistants to include hiring, scheduling, training

On-Campus Professional Staff On-Call Rotation - Serve as Professional Staff On-Campus On-Call to respond to student emergencies, calls for assistance, rule enforcement at night and on weekends as scheduled

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years experience in Residence Life

Salary Range:

$48,329 per year

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
