The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science. The appointment will begin in August 2027.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preference will be given to candidates whose research expertise aligns with one or more of the following areas: cloud and edge computing, cyber-physical systems, and AI systems.
Responsibilities include teaching computer science courses at all undergraduate levels and, depending on the candidate's expertise, undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity and/or Data Science, including service courses. Additional responsibilities include supervising student research and maintaining a computer engineering laboratory.

Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required and must be completed by the start date of employment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and the mentorship of students through undergraduate and graduate research experiences.
Desired Qualifications:
Teaching experience and a record of scholarly publications are preferred.
Salary Range:
$98,625- $109,583
Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
