JOB SUMMARY |
The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Finance and Administration is seeking a Graduate Project Assistant to support the Associate Dean and Senior Director of College Operations with a variety of project-based assignments during the summer and fall. This part-time student role is a good opportunity for a graduate student interested in higher education administration, project coordination, operations, and organizational support.
The Graduate Project Assistant will help with research, communications, meeting support, document preparation, and general coordination for ongoing projects and special initiatives. |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Assist with project-related tasks and general administrative support - Help organize materials, documents, and shared project files - Support meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up - Draft and format documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and communications - Conduct basic research and gather information for projects and planning - Help track timelines, tasks, and next steps for active initiatives - Assist with data entry and routine project tracking - Provide support on other related assignments as needed |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Current enrollment in a graduate degree program, preferably MBA or MPA - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines - Professionalism and discretion in handling information - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Must be enrolled in a matriculated program and registered at least half-time for Fall 2026 |
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Interest in data analytics, administration, and/or project management - Prior experience in an office, academic, or student support setting - Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized - Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms - Strong initiative and reliability |
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS |
This position will continue into the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Applicants must be available to work for the duration of the position. Applicants will receive a new application link once the 2026/27 cycle opens. |
