Duties and Responsibilities:

-Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for faculty/program leadership
-Prepare and organize meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
-Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (digital and physical)
-Monitor and respond to departmental emails and student inquiries in a timely manner
-Assist with course scheduling, registration support, and tracking enrollment data
-Support onboarding processes for students, adjuncts, or new hires

Program & Student Support Responsibilities
-Provide front-line support to students regarding program requirements, policies, and procedures
-Assist with student tracking (progress, retention, graduation audits, etc.)
-Coordinate student events, orientations, workshops, and mixers
-Support practicum/internship processes (documentation tracking, communication, logistics)
-Help maintain student engagement initiatives and communication channels

Operations & Project Support
-Assist with accreditation preparation (data collection, document organization, reporting support)
-Support assessment efforts (surveys, data entry, analysis assistance)
-Coordinate logistics for events, site visits, and departmental initiatives
-Assist with grant-related administrative tasks and reporting (if applicable)
-Support development of presentations, reports, and program materials

Communication & Coordination
-Draft professional emails, announcements, and internal communications
-Coordinate across departments, faculty, and external partners
-Ensure consistent dissemination of program updates and deadlines
-Represent the department professionally in meetings and events

Technical & Systems Support
-Utilize platforms: learning management systems (e.g., CANVAS), student databases, and scheduling tools
-Support data entry and reporting in systems like Tevera, Banner, or similar platforms
-Assist with maintaining departmental documents, shared drives, and templates



Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in the MPA program.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when interacting with students and colleagues.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with computer applications.
