JOB SUMMARY |
The Office of Academic Support Services for Student-Athletes located in the Charles W. Doehler Academic Center for Excellence is seeking peer tutors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Peer tutors will work with students from our 14 intercollegiate sports teams in both individual and mini group sessions and also drop-in evening tutoring sessions. |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
One to one peer tutoring. Tutors serve as a resource to assist other students academically. Tutors will adhere to Seton Hall University policies on academic integrity and community standards, in addition to the policies and regulations set forth by the BIG EAST Conference and the NCAA. |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
Applicants must be current Seton Hall Undergraduate students. Peer tutors are sought in a variety of subject areas including but not limited to:
Good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a high level of responsibility are expected. Applicants must be at sophomore status and higher and provide a minimum of 10 hours of availability a week for appointments and/or drop-in sessions. You must have at least a 3.2 Cumulative GPA and a B+ or higher in a class you hope to tutor. |
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
Individuals who can tutor in multiple disciplines would be a great asset. |
