JOB SUMMARY:
The Employer Relations Graduate Intern supports the Career Center’s efforts to cultivate and strengthen partnerships with employers, ensuring Seton Hall students and alumni have access to quality career opportunities. This role provides hands-on experience in employer relations, event coordination, data management, and career programming, making it an excellent opportunity for a graduate student interested in higher education, human resources, or career services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Employer Outreach and Engagement:
· Assist in identifying, contacting, and maintaining relationships with employers across various industries.
· Support communication efforts with employers, including follow-ups.
· Prepare reports on employer engagement and related activities.
· Event Planning and Execution:
· Help coordinate career fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment sessions.
· Provide logistical and on-site support during events, including employer registration, event setup, and troubleshooting.
· Marketing and Outreach:
· Support the promotion of employer events and opportunities using digital platforms and social media.
· Create materials and presentations to highlight Career Center programs and employer engagement initiatives.
· Administrative Support:
· Offer administrative assistance to the Employer Relations team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and tracking outcomes.
· Perform industry research to identify potential employer partners and market trends
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Current enrollment in a graduate program at Seton Hall University.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
· Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn career management systems.
· Commitment to providing excellent service to diverse student and employer populations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Interest in career services, higher education, human resources, or related fields.
· Experience in event planning, employer relations, or data management.
· Familiarity with platforms like Handshake, 12Twenty, or CRM systems.
