A full-time administrator is needed to perform a variety of technical duties related to our Human Resources functions and initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a detailed and organized person to become part of our service-oriented HR team.
In the HRIS area, work on payroll audits, system setup and collaboration with Payroll, Benefits and IT. Focuse on Banner HR/Payroll to ensure best use of system. Serve as functional lead on technical projects for increasing use of HR systems including Applicant Tracking (Page Up), Banner, and Performance Appraisals (Cornerstone/SABA). Coordinate audits and reconciliation with Payroll office to ensure proper accounting throughout year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work on HR Technology projects to improve internal processes and increase use of HRIS products - including Page Up Applicant Tracking, Cornerstone/SABA Performance Appraisals and Compliance Training vendors. Coordinate tests of Banner functionality - research options and propose process improvement based on system capabilities. Perform regular payroll audits. Set up earn codes, deferred pay calculations and deduction codes. Communicate with outside groups on payroll items. Develop communication and training material for end users - partnering with IT and University Relations. Conduct training for end users or collaborates with other facilitators.
Work will be performed at our main campus in South Orange, New Jersey.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. 5 or more years experience in Human Resources, IT or related field. Strong Project Management and communication skills. MS Excel expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree preferred. Accounting background or experience in Payroll calculations is a plus.
