To serve and guide students in specialized programs such as first-generation students and students conditionally accepted to the University.

Will work with the Assistant Dean and other colleagues to initiate development of CORE-1001, SKIL-1104 and SKIL-1106 curriculum for fall and spring semesters.

Will advise students' course registration throughout the first year with ongoing monitoring of academic progress throughout the first year. Will also help with student workshops and programming to ensure student success. May work with students over 30 credits as needed

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Will help advise students' course registration and ensuring students are on track for graduation.

· In addition to the traditional freshman cohort, this person will work with special cohorts in Gen One and Pirate Pathway as assigned by the Assistant Dean.

· Work all New Student Orientations, assist with Open Houses, Previews and other collaborative initiatives from Enrollment Services and the Office of Student Engagement. Instruct CORE-1001 or SKILL1101 which are courses offered to all first-year students.

· Be available for mentoring, academic advisement and guidance throughout the first year and maintain a working knowledge of other resources on campus for referrals. Must be knowledgeable of FERPA, Title IX, Campus Security and all other required university policies and procedures.

· Serve on university committees as assigned by the Assistant Vice president and Assistant Deans.

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree. Two years' experience working with students in an educational setting.

Desired Qualifications:

Teaching or tutoring experience.
