JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Aid Office at Seton Hall University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Student Worker to join our team. As a Graduate Student Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in various financial aid processes and supporting students in their financial aid applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the higher education industry while making a positive impact on students' lives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist students in completing financial aid applications and forms
- Review and verify financial aid documents for accuracy and completeness
- Answer student inquiries in-person and via email regarding financial aid eligibility, deadlines, and procedures
- Collaborate with Financial Aid Office staff on various projects
- Maintain accurate records and databases of student financial aid files
- Assist in organizing and executing financial aid workshops and information sessions
- Provide support in other administrative tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student at SHU
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Evening and weekend availability may be required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer service-oriented mindset
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of financial aid programs and regulations is preferred
