JOB SUMMARY:

RISE TRIO SSS Peer Tutor FWS Student 2024-2025

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Help Program Coordinator supervise Peer Tutors throughout the academic year

-Serve as a general back-up resource for all tutors

-Develop and maintain a working knowledge of common campus resources and refer students as necessary

-Help coordinate and facilitate all tutor trainings/development workshops/team building activities

-Remain updated on tutors’ weekly email to tutees

-Develop and host study skills workshops

-Work closely with administrative staff to develop and maintain program policies and procedures

-Assist tutors in prepping for study skills workshops (as needed)

-Coordinate group study sessions

-Retrieve syllabi and test dates from professors

-Work with tutors to schedule dates ahead of exams for group study sessions

-Make flyers for study skills workshops and group study sessions

-Conduct tutor evaluation observations and debriefs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Good communication skills, problem solving skills, level of responsibility
