Assists students and parents regarding the financial aid process and provides information on available programs, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Works within a loan team to evaluate and adjust budgets, certify loans and reconcile loan programs. Reviews financial aid applications and related documentation for compliance with eligibility requirements. Help students and parents in the completion of financial aid applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Reviews, verifies, and assesses applications and support documents in accordance with established guidelines to determine financial aid eligibility.

2. Interacts with students and/or families to follow up on missing or deficient information; relays and discusses status of application.

3. Provides information to students and families regarding the options for obtaining financial aid, the process for requesting aid, and the eligibility requirements for receiving and maintaining aid. Assist students at the front counter on a rotation.

4. Responsible for a loan program from certification to disbursement through reconciliation.

5. Assist the office in promoting Financial Literacy to our students and families to better understand the process.

6. Part of the Counter staff rotation assisting students that come into the office.

7. Respond to inquiries from the call center and loan adjustments that come in.

8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one to three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities listed. Working knowledge of financial aid and knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies required, Must be detail-oriented, have high computer literacy, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize daily activities.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of Banner system a plus.

Salary Range:

$36,400 - $50,050

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
