Seton Hall University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a contract faculty position in Cybersecurity to commence no later than August 16, 2026. The position includes undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities in Cybersecurity and related fields.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must be qualified to teach courses in Cybersecurity and in areas of Computer Science related to Cybersecurity. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to our M.S. program in Cybersecurity and provide hands-on lab experience for our students.
In addition to 12 credits of teaching per semester, this faculty member will have responsibilities for participating in recruitment and extracurricular activities and events for cybersecurity and related fields, including computer science and data science and engineering.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants should have a masters degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field in hand by the time of appointment. While a Ph.D. is preferred, outstanding candidates with substantial, recent, and relevant industry experience as well as a masters and teaching experience will receive full, serious consideration. Successful applicants will demonstrate the potential to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, all applicants should demonstrate substantial potential for supervising student projects in Cybersecurity and knowledge of emerging trends in cybersecurity education, including hands-on labs and simulations.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior college or university teaching experience in Cybersecurity or related Computer Science fields.

$72,465-$80,517
