The Parking Services Coordinator will assist with the daily operations of the Parking Services office to include file maintenance, billing, deposits, coordination of equipment and supplies and the training of staff and students. Coordinator builds and maintains customer relationships throughout the campus community with prompt service and troubleshooting assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service and Account Management: Uphold high standards of customer service by building and maintaining effective relationships with the Seton Hall community and guests. Respond to inquiries about student and employee accounts in the parking software via mail, email, telephone, and in-person communication. Analyze and interpret account histories in the software to validate charges, addressing concerns from students, parents, employees, vendors, and departments such as Bursar and Payroll. De-escalate conflicts professionally and manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
2.Billing and Payment Processing: Manage office correspondence, create reports, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the transfer, check processing, and reconciliation of charges.
3.Office Administration and Software Use: Perform general office duties, including the frequent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database applications) and Adobe Pro. Manage office correspondence, emails, create reports, and handle administrative tasks efficiently. Other duties as assigned.
4.Data Entry and Record Management: Accurately input data for permits, citations, appeals, boots, and tows into relevant systems. Maintain comprehensive and organized records and files to support departmental operations.
5.Familiar and able to assist with information on with the Seton Hall Shuttle, SHU Ride transportation services and NJ transit student program. Periodically represent parking services at various university events.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong de-escalation skills when addressing customer concerns or resolving issues in a professional and efficient manner.
Proficient use of Windows-based programs (i.e., Microsoft Office).
Excellent communication skills

May be supervising 4-5 student workers
May at times be asked to represent Parking Services at events
