Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computer Science with a 3-3 course load, including undergraduate and graduate courses, and the expectation to maintain active research agenda.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The teaching load for tenure-track faculty at Seton Hall is 18 credits per year, equivalent to 2-3 courses per semester. A successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high-quality research program of publications and grants and be able to supervise undergraduate research projects. Seton Hall is embarking on exciting investments to STEM and graduate programming, including significant faculty hires and new program development, and this faculty member will be expected to help the Department improve and expand the Computer Science program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including potential application for ABET accreditation and potential creation of an MS in Computer Science. Seton Hall has a newly renovated cybersecurity lab and faculty researchers collaborating in applied computing projects across disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science by August 2024.

Desired Qualifications:

Priority will be given to applicants familiar with systematic program development (aka program by design) and Artificial Intelligence.
