The primary purpose of the Director of Player Personnel for Women’s Basketball is to organize team travel plans including: team meals, rooming lists, and air/bus/train travel. The position will also provide administrative support to the program through the supervision of student managers, equipment procurement, and by monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing Administrative Support for the Program By:
1. Assisting in arranging travel for road games including the preparation of rooming lists
2. Organizing team meals
3. Act as liaison between basketball staff and equipment room to fulfill all apparel orders
4. Assists in organizing on-campus recruiting activities including creating a master prospective student athlete game schedule for assistant coaches and the creation of official visit itineraries for prospects.
5. Serve as basketball alumni liaison to assist the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund with alumni projects and fundraising initiatives
6. Creating strategies to enhance the brand of student-athletes leading to increased NIL opportunities.
7. Monitoring game ticket distribution
8. Serve as primary point of contact with high school coaches during on campus visits, practices, camps, or clinics
9. Coordinate practice schedule
10. Securing practice times/venues from home teams during road trips
11. Acting as team liaison for community service events
12. Assisting the head coach with day-to-day tasks
Coordinate Film Exchange By:
1. Assist with managing the collection of game footage of opponents on television, internet, and social media outlets.
2. Limited on-court duties including keeping track of advanced-metric game stats used for team analysis.
Monitor Academic Progress By:
• Coordinating one on one meetings with student-athletes, academic advisor
• Observing tutoring/study hall sessions
• Tracking class attendance
Oversee Student Managers By:
• Conducting an interview process for potential student managers
• Implementing daily practice duties and routines
• Scheduling practice and game attendance
• Ensuring proper academic standing and performance

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Desired Qualifications:

1-3 years prior experience as a player, coach or manager with a Division I Basketball Program desired. Previous administrative experience in the athletic field desired.

Salary Range:

$44,000 - $60,500

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
