Financial Systems Analyst

Reporting to the Asst. Vice President for Financial Systems, the Financial Systems Analyst is a key member of the Financial Systems team, providing support for Banner Finance, Unimarket (the current University’s procure to pay system), enhancement projects and strategic initiatives as it relates to the university’s ERP and procure to pay system and other technologies within the Finance Division. The Financial Systems Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems bridging the gap between finance and IT.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and maintain university system access to ensure proper permissions and workflows for all modules and applications within Finance including but not limited to Banner Finance, Appworx, Cognos, Evisions IntelleCheck, Evisions Form Fusion, Finexio, SharePoint, SQL Developer, Unimarket, and the like.
Assists in all finance system upgrades that may include the following: user testing, supporting and assisting other users with testing, liaising with University Information Technology departments/areas to address and resolve bugs or other operational problems, investigate security issues, analyzing system security settings ensuring that appropriate checks and balances are in place
Collaborate with technical development teams and coordinate work efforts when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, and application updates
Develop new training tools and models to support training non-financial University personnel on the use of financial systems and reports

Required Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge in use of Excel spreadsheets, database software, finance systems security, finance systems approval workflows, query and reporting tools i.e. Appworx, SQL Developer, Cognos reporting, Ellucian Insights or other similar reporting tools. A minimum of three years working with Ellucian Banner Finance, Banner Student, Banner Human Resources or other similar financial information systems as well as procure to payment systems i.e. Unimarket, finance document management systems i.e. Xtender, BDMS, etc.

Licenses and Certificates:

Bachelor’s degree – Field of study: Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or Information Technology Management
At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Salary Range:

56,000-77000

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
