The Coordinator is responsible for three primary areas within the Department - 1) engaging in the interactive process to determine reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students; 2) administering the department's assistive technology program to support students and faculty; 3) provide outreach and support programming for students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Accommodation Review - Exercise professional judgment and specialized knowledge to carry out an individualized determination process for students with physical, sensory, medical, and/or mental conditions, in a timely fashion. Implementation of accommodations through communication with students, faculty, and staff.
2. Assistive Technology Program - Develop program for assisting and training students with use of assistive technology. Assist faculty with information for developing accessible materials. Liaison with TLTC for assistive technology program and accessible material training for faculty.
3.Outreach and support - Represent department at University functions for incoming students. Provide outreach and support programs for students to include community building, academic, personal and career support in collaboration with other departments.
4. Assist Associate Director and Director with departmental programs and services.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 1 -3 years experience in directly related area, preferably at the collegiate level

Desired Qualifications:

Directly related experience in college setting.

Salary Range:

40,000 - 55,000

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
