The Program Manager exists to provide essential administrative support to the Social Science departments within the College of Arts and Sciences at Seton Hall University. This role ensures the smooth functioning of departmental operations by managing communications, scheduling. procurement, and event coordination. It plays a critical role in supporting faculty, students, and department leadership with day-to-day administrative tasks. The position is designed to foster a professional, service-oriented environment aligned with the University's academic mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact, manage communications, and support faculty with materials.

Assist the faculty with systems, for example Faculty Success and assist department chairs with reports and record keeping including tracking tenure and promotion, faculty contracts and the annual report.

Manages the on-boarding and payroll function for full and part·time hires including job postings, the faculty activation forms, the Faculty Load and Compensation system for adjuncts, salary change forms, overloads and summer and winter adjunct forms for the full-time faculty.

Supports, hires, trains and manages the student workers including scheduling and assignments.

Complete and manage the University Catalogue annually and Banner course schedule updates received each semester from the chairs and any other administrative help requested from faculty in order for the classes to run effectively and efficiently.

Manage the e-procurernent process for the Social Sciences division including assisting with Unimarket orders, student and faculty travel reimbursements, invoices, purchase orders ensuring they are compliant with university policy and IRS regulations.

Assist with development of departments' operational budgets.

Maintains the ESM contract system for the division coordinating speaker and off-site agreements, event planning, co-curricular student activities, department conferences, web page and social media presence.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years in comparable administrative role.
At least 2 years of higher education experience.

Desired Qualifications:

CAPM certification preferred in lieu of higher education experience

Salary Range:

58,500 - 78,000

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
