JOB SUMMARY

Academic Resource Center Coordinators play a key role in overseeing the peer tutors and academic coaches. The essential duties include mentoring tutoring staff members, evaluating peers, and assisting in planning ARC events.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ARC tutors must be able to hold set hours a week of drop-in and appointment-based tutoring. They will uphold the mission of the ARC, which promotes student learning and academic excellence by providing opportunities to increase and improve achievement and performance. ARC Tutor Coordinators will plan and create training programs and development opportunities for staff and interact frequently with faculty, staff, and administration.

NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Friendly and student-centered

• Able to work with a diverse group of people

• Punctual, reliable, professional, flexible, and organized

• Demonstrates strong study skills

• Familiarity with department/office procedures

• Strong leadership, presentation, and event-planning skills

• Must be a current or former ARC Tutor
