The Senior Manager of Media and Marketing supports the execution of comprehensive media and marketing strategies to enhance the university’s visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. This position focuses on media relations, social media, paid marketing, and analytics. Reporting to the Director of Media and Marketing Strategy, the Senior Manager ensures seamless coordination of initiatives that align with institutional goals and strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to enhance the university’s public profile and ensure effective dissemination of newsworthy content, such as press releases, media pitches, and announcements in partnership with Seton Hall partners. 25% of time
2. Lead the execution of social media strategies by creating, curating, and scheduling engaging content across institutional platforms; track and analyze performance metrics to drive engagement and ensure alignment with university goals. 20% of time
3. Support paid marketing efforts by managing digital advertising campaigns, coordinating with external vendors, and optimizing ad performance to achieve marketing objectives while staying within budgetary constraints. 15% of time
4. Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to create, review, and distribute high-quality content for newsletters, websites, email campaigns, and other communication channels to ensure consistent messaging and brand compliance. 20% of time
5. Monitor and analyze data for media relations, social media, and paid marketing initiatives; prepare detailed reports for the Director of Media and Marketing Strategy and university leadership to inform decision-making and future strategies. 10% of time
6. Represent the Public Relations and Marketing (PR&M) team at university events and initiatives, supporting stakeholder engagement and reputation management projects while fostering positive relationships with external and internal audiences. 10% of time
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus at least 3-5 years in Public Relations
