The School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) at Seton Hall University invites applications for a twelve-month faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the recently formed Bachelor of Science in Interprofessional Health Sciences degree program beginning July 1, 2025, subject to budgetary provisions. The incumbent will be a full-time faculty member within the Department of Interprofessional Health Sciences and Health Administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing and delivering content for new courses that will be taught on-campus or in a hybrid format at the undergraduate level. On-campus courses will be delivered at our South Orange campus and the incumbent will also engage in activities at the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus in Nutley, NJ. The incumbent will be expected to maintain contemporary expertise in an area relevant to exercise science, develop an individual line of research within their respective field and participate in service activities to the Department, School, University, and profession.
Required Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, health sciences, or a closely related field.
• Experience with developing/teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: exercise testing and prescription, exercise programs for special populations, exercise physiology, musculoskeletal anatomy, social determinants of health, promotion of health and wellness, professionalism, practice, ethics in healthcare, and introduction to health careers and professions.
Desired Qualifications:
• Prior history of teaching and developing undergraduate courses
• Possess an appropriate certification from the American College of Sports Medicine or the National Strength and Conditioning Association
• Experience with advising health science students
