JOB SUMMARY:

The Career Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated student workers to assist with various administrative and operational tasks. This position provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain professional experience, develop career-related skills, and support their peers in their career development journey.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.         Front Desk Support:

o          Greet and assist students, employers, and visitors.

o          Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries.

o          Schedule appointments for career advising and other services.

2.         Administrative Tasks:

o          Maintain and update student records and databases.

o          Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of information.

3.         Resource Management:

o          Help manage career resources such as job boards, career guides, and handouts.

o          Ensure resource materials are up-to-date and readily available for students.

4.         Marketing and Outreach:

o          Create and distribute promotional materials for Career Center events and services.

o          Assist with social media content creation and management.

o          Help develop and implement marketing strategies to increase student engagement.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

           Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at Seton Hall University.

           Strong organizational and time management skills.

           Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

           Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of social media platforms.

           Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

           Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

           Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is a plus.
