The Learning Systems Coordinator exists to support the Seton Hall community in the use of various software platforms that support teaching and learning. Specifically, this position will act as the lead liaison for any user issues relating to the University’s course management system, as well as other University supported learning software solutions. This position will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the online programs for the Law School.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Update and maintain course materials including but not limited to creating and updating customized text books, syllabi, assignment documents etc, reviewing and updating documents to meet ADA requirements and copyright. Update and maintain master course shells for online and hybrid courses.

Conduct quality assurance and evaluation of projects and other related initiatives. This includes reviewing online courses and revising them based on desired outcomes. Facilitate and compile course evaluations.

Assist with user reported technical issues or requests regarding any University supported learning software solution, including the LMS. Act as liaison between service desk, TLTC staff, to seek resolutions to these reported issues. Incumbent will follow-up with user to ensure quality control.

Provide user support for the integration of publisher content, including chalk titles specific to the LMS course management system. This includes thorough testing and necessary setup for faculty and student use.

Required Qualifications:

Up to 3 years of Instructional Design experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Business, Education, or related field –OR- Equivalent Experience; Education degree or 1 to 2 years of experience with instructional design software training, or equivalent education.

Knowledge of current instructional technologies, primarily PC oriented but be able to cross-platform and troubleshoot for Apple products. Expertise with MS Windows OS and a variety of software including MS Office Suite, MS Outlook and Blackboard or Canvas.

Knowledge of Learning theory, online course development, knowledge of LMS

Organized and efficient. Filing, time management skills, general business practices and protocols.

Online/hybrid course development experience

Strong written communication skills

Critical thinking, problem solving, setting own goal

Salary Grade:

AD150 - Administrative

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
