Job Summary: The EOP Peer Mentoring program matches first year EOP students with upper class EOF peer mentors to create a premier student experience as they transition into the University community. Peer Mentors serve as a resource to students beginning at orientation and through their first year. This is a stipend paid position.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a positive leader, helping mentees succeed at SHU
· Assist mentees in developing an awareness of academic resources and opportunities, policies, and support services
· Facilitate and encourage attendance at all EOF events
· Attend and participate in leadership experiences with enthusiasm
· Create and implement workshops and programs
· Be highly accessible and responsive to the needs of your mentees and respond accordingly
· Participate in performance assessments to identify areas of growth and improvement
· Represent the EOF program in a positive, appropriate and professional manner
· Office duties and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

· Must be a current EOF student at Seton Hall University
· Completed at least 30 credits at Seton Hall University
· Be in good standing with the EOF Programs and Seton Hall University
· Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0
· Be available to attend mandatory trainings and events
· Be available to participate in EOF Summer Institutes
· Be eligible for Federal Work Study

• New Student Orientation (June)
• EOF Summer Institute (June-August)
