The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of several important SHU and Stillman academic initiatives. These initiatives are directly related to maintaining AACSB accreditation, accurate annual reporting, recruitment and retention of students, alumni cultivation, class scheduling/schedule revisions for all undergraduate and graduate programs, and editing and assembling the annual issues of "Publications and New Jersey Business Faculty." Will also provide administrative support to the department of Accounting and Taxation as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Management - Responsible for understanding the data requirements, and ensuring final data submissions are accurate for the purposes of accreditation and reporting to the Provost's office.
Event Management - Recruiting, retention and alumni cultivation events. Negotiate all event contracts with vendors. Ensure event success through continual monitoring and adjusting when necessary. Event attendance is required and often occurs outside standard working hours.
Scheduling - Assists in reviewing and revising class schedules for all Stillman programs both undergraduate and graduate. Requires frequent interaction with Chairs and Registrar to ensure accuracy of information.
Publications - Edits and assembles the Stillman Schools' annual "Publication of New Jersey Business School Faculty" requiring communication and collaboration with all NJ 2-yr and 4-yr business schools.
Provides occasional support for the Department of Accounting and Taxation with respect to activities that underly its departmental AACSB accreditation.
Resource to the Dean - provides critical updates and and monitors several key pieces of information.

Required Qualifications:

Education level of at least an Associate's degree. Will consider applicable and equivalent work experience in lieu of degree requirements. Significant experience (3-5 years) in the higher education environment at a university and experience working with event management. Problem-solving, solutions-oriented individual who is comfortable working with budgets and financial analysis. High level of attention to detail. Demonstrated success in management of short and long-range projects while working on multiple projects at the same time. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft mail merge and Excel. Excellent written communication skills, including clear e-mail communications. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to calmly and patiently deal with requests to/from others. Must be able to clearly share results or ideas in a group. Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving, high-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with Blackboard and Banner Student systems is a plus.
