This Part Time GA position assists both the Experiential Engagement and the Philanthropy units within the Department of Alumni Experiential Engagement and Philanthropy. The primary function of this role is to support an alumni engagement strategy through events to involve the Seton Hall alumni community. This position is responsible for a multitude of daily activities including database management, research, phone and email inquiries, written communication to support events, event preparation activities, and general event attendance and support. Some evening and weekend opportunities may be requested.

Oversee the Student Bar Association, supervise all Student Organizations and related programs, and promote positive and constructive activities to meet the needs of a diverse student body, grow student satisfaction, and increase retention. Plan, orchestrate, and execute all aspects of student-related events. Assist and collaborate with colleagues on additional internal professional events, symposia, Moot Court Competitions and the like, as well as occasional external events for clients looking to rent space in the building. Oversee all space booking and classroom/event setup needs.

Senior Practitioner in Residence in Newark
Seton Hall University School of Law has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced immigration attorney to serve as Senior Practitioner-in-Residence in its Center for Social Justice, Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic. This is a year-round non-teaching position and is entirely grant-funded. The Center for Social Justice is home to the Law School’s vibrant clinical program including civil litigation; equal justice; family law; health justice; immigrants’ rights/international human rights; and impact litigation. Furthermore, the Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic is one of four partners in an exciting and innovative project, funded by the state of New Jersey, to provide legal representation to detained and non-detained immigrants in removal proceedings. Seton Hall Law’s Immigration Detention Project presently encompasses a Managing Attorney, one full-time Practitioner-in-Residence, two Immigration Detention Fellows, clinical and extern law students, and two full-time paralegals. The ultimate goal of the Project is to provide universal representation to immigrants detained in New Jersey.
