Adjunct Professor in South Orange
Seton Hall University seeks adjunct instructors to teach sections of our first-year writing classes. These are composition courses with an emphasis on rhetorical analysis. They fall into two categories: English 1201 is a composition course with a rhetorical focus, stressing textual and visual analysis, while English 1202 is an academic writing course focused on literature. Candidates must have experience teaching composition in a college or university setting and, at minimum, an MA in a related field. CV and letter of interest are required to apply; a statement of teaching philosophy, course evaluations from a composition class, and up to three letters of reference are recommended. Admissions Counselor in South Orange
Those who work in this entry level role will be responsible for all front-line customer services including communication related to the Admissions process of Seton Hall University. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for receiving and delivering all electronic, voice and in-person related information pertaining to the inquiry application and enrollment processes of the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for assessing the customer service provided by the Office of Admissions and suggesting ways to enhance the services provided. Additionally, this position will be responsible for meeting with and speaking to students and families, specifically in terms of the application process, decision process, and financial aid process. The Admissions Counselor will make decisions on the applications of students when necessary and will be well-versed in the enrollment process to better assist prospective students in their application/financial aid review. Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing daily information sessions to campus visitors prior to taking a tour as well as conducting interviews of prospective students. They may also be responsible for providing tours. The Admissions Counselor will need to be customer service oriented with a strong desire to work with others. The Admissions Counselor should also be available to work some weekend and evening events throughout a recruitment cycle.

Summer 2025 - Blue Crew - Admissions in South Orange
Blue Crew Ambassadors are professional staff members of the Office of Admissions. Blue Crew Ambassadors work alongside the Admissions Counselors and staff to ensure that visiting potential students and families have an enjoyable experience at Seton Hall University. The Blue Crew will register families and give guided tours of campus (along with any tour related activities). Blue Crew Ambassadors are also very knowledgeable of the application process, history of the University, and have a certain pride and enthusiasm in the institution they attend. Blue Crew Ambassadors play a vital role in the recruitment of students to the University and provides assistance with various admissions tasks. A successful Blue Crew Ambassador develops excellent communication, resource, and networking skills, which can later be applied in post-college careers. In addition, Blue Crew Ambassadors will conduct themselves in a professional manner and model positive behavior consistent with the Catholic Mission of the University, community life standards, and academic requirements.
