Adjunct Instructor - Psychology of the Black Experience in South Orange
The Africana Studies program and Psychology Department at Seton Hall University are seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an in-person course in Psychology of the Black Experience starting January 2024. This 2000-level (i.e., lower division) course is taught for students who are majors or minors in either Africana Studies or Psychology. Since 1970, the program in Africana Studies has supported a community of scholars grounded in the Black Intellectual Tradition, the traditional academic disciplines, and the insights and lessons of the historic struggle against racism and for social justice. The Psychology Department recognizes the importance of centering the perspectives, experiences, and scholarship of Black people and communities. We strive to foster an inclusive and supportive intellectual community that values diversity and social justice and to develop students who are committed to advancing racial equity and social progress. In the Psychology Department, all new adjunct faculty are paired with full-time faculty mentors to help the individual develop their teaching through conversation and course observation. Additionally, all adjunct faculty at Seton Hall enjoy free access to on-campus fitness facilities. Seton Hall University is located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from New York City. It is the oldest Catholic diocesan institution of higher education in the United States. Faculty, Adjunct in South Orange
The University CORE Curriculum at Seton Hall is seeking adjuncts (part time, nontenure-track) for the Academic Year of 2023-2024 to teach one or two sections of our Signature Core I and Core II courses. The courses are Journey of Transformation (Core I) and Christianity and Culture in Dialogue (Core II), and they are required for all Freshmen and Sophomores students. The courses consider the relationship between the Catholic intellectual tradition and other religions and cultures, particularly in terms of how they answer the big questions of life common to us all. Texts from the Christian tradition are studied along with texts from non-Christian traditions to demonstrate direct connections across other religions and cultures.

Student Worker - Catholic Studies - 2025/26 in South Orange
Responsible for the day to day operation of the office, answering phone and answering questions from students. including assisting with professional-social media operations and assisting with project specific issues utilizing excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. Assist in the creation and design of flyers and PowerPoint presentations. Provide support to daily office activities – interface with many departments – mailroom, print shop, Dean’s office, bursar’s office and gourmet dining. Assists in coordinating and executing Guest Lecture and Scholars in Residence programs; coordinates procedural and technical issues; which includes booking rooms, making travel arrangements, welcoming guests.
