Bilingual Intake & Legal Technology Specialist in Newark
The Center for Social Justice provides free legal services to the community while training law students to be ethical and skilled lawyers. The Bilingual Intake & Legal Technology Specialist coordinates all requests for assistance to the Center for Social Justice, including intake by individuals who come to the office, as well as those who contact the CSJ by phone, mail, and online, and provides resource and referral information to numerous individuals on a daily basis. The Specialist develops and maintains online legal intake and community information materials and assists faculty and students with legal technology software. This individual also provides support as needed to the paralegals, students, and faculty, including assistance with translation/interpretation. Must have excellent organizational, record-keeping and time management skills working in a fast-paced environment. The focus of the work will be on the Housing Justice Project, which assists low- and moderate-income tenants. The anticipated annual salary for this role is approximately $50,000. The current hourly rate is $27.898. This position includes benefits.

Essentially a place of learning, the Walsh Gallery promotes Seton Hall’s Catholic mission by fostering the development of students into servant leaders through diverse programming in a collaborative environment. Primary responsibilities are to expand the reach of the Gallery, promote campus and community engagement, work as part of a Special Collections and Gallery team, implement all phases of exhibition planning and programming to support the curriculum by enhancing the cultural and intellectual climate of the college and neighboring communities and oversee Gallery operations, exhibitions, education, programing and outreach efforts.

The Assistant to the Dean of the University Libraries performs essential executive-level support for a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative duties to support the Dean of University Libraries. This position will ensure that all functions of the Dean’s Office are performed efficiently and effectively as the office manager. The Assistant will assist the Dean in all their assigned administrative functions in conjunction with the Secretary, who is supervised by this position. The position works independently to perform duties that require substantial initiative, tact, flexibility, confidentiality, and judgment. This role independently manages workflow and projects, organization and maintenance of comprehensive, secure, and confidential files, and representation of the Dean and the Office of the Dean in selected venues, and manages, tracks, and reports on expenditures (credit card and financial management platforms in the future). This position is a close partner with the Asst. Deans provides administrative support for them and the Library faculty, taking an active role in Library- and University-wide communications, and tracks and organizes a wide variety of schedules. This position requires a self-starter with excellent independent judgment and a sense of initiative, appropriate communication, and consultation who requires minimal supervision.

Blue Crew Ambassadors are professional staff members of the Office of Admissions. Blue Crew Ambassadors work alongside the Admissions Counselors and staff to ensure that visiting potential students and families have an enjoyable experience at Seton Hall University. The Blue Crew will register families and give guided tours of campus (along with any tour related activities). Blue Crew Ambassadors are also very knowledgeable of the application process, history of the University, and have a certain pride and enthusiasm in the institution they attend. Blue Crew Ambassadors play a vital role in the recruitment of students to the University and provides assistance with various admissions tasks. A successful Blue Crew Ambassador develops excellent communication, resource, and networking skills, which can later be applied in post-college careers.
