Associate Treasurer in South Orange
The Associate Treasurer works closely with the Associate Vice President for Finance – Treasury in responsibly managing all aspects of cash management, external investments, commercial banking relationships, and debt portfolio management, while also supporting the University’s credit rating process and related external reporting needs. The incumbent will provide strategic treasury management and support to the Associate Vice President for Finance – Treasury, as well as to the Accounts Payables and Bursar offices. This role ensures liquidity to sustain ongoing operations while mitigating risk to the University. In collaboration with the Associate VP for Finance – Treasury, the Associate Treasurer develops and manages financial policies for working capital, treasury operations, accounts receivable, card programs, and interest rate risk management. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality reporting materials for executive leadership and external agencies to effectively support all aspects of daily Treasury operations. Close partnership with the Accounts Payable Director and the Director of Student Accounts to enhance Finance operations is essential. The Associate Treasurer monitors and ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, trustworthiness, commitment, teamwork, and accountability. The incumbent ensures adherence to the University's policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) under FASB.
