JOB SUMMARY

The Athletic Department student staff assists in the operation of varsity sports as well as recreational programming for the University community. Responsible, knowledgeable students aid in the administration of the facility and our sport programs. Those chosen work 2 or 3 hour blocks around their class schedules.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We employ students eligible for FWS in eight categories; must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings around class schedule

  • FITNESS CENTER: monitor, clean and keep the space organized; provide general advice on machine usage
  • FRONT DESK: control access and entry to the Regan Center
  • OFFICIAL: enforce rules during intramural programming to ensure a competitive yet sportsmanlike environment
  • LIFEGUARD: preserve the safety of the pool patrons while remaining vigilant on the lifeguard stand (American Red Cross Certification with First Aid/CPR/AED required)
  • EVENT STAFF: this game management position involves assisting in the setup and breakdown of our varsity athletic events on campus; during the games this staff assists by working lines, tickets, ball rotation, and ushering - other areas include scoreboard, music, & statistics
  • EQUIPMENT ROOM: provide laundry service for all varsity programs; additional responsibilities include equipment distribution, inventory, packing travel bags, and locker room set up for home contests

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
