The Center for Catholic Studies under the auspices of the Office of the Provost at Seton Hall University invites applications for the Endowed Toth-Lonergan Visiting Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies for the Spring 2026 semester. This position supports Seton Hall’s commitment to a robust Catholic Identity, deepening interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship, and ongoing faculty development in mission. The ideal candidate will have a publication and teaching record that demonstrates an expertise in the thought of Bernard Lonergan, a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic philosophical and theological traditions, research interests informed by that expertise and understanding, and an enthusiasm for sharing this knowledge with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Primary duties would involve assisting at the circulation desk, performing various tasks in the physical library book stacks, and helping with various interlibrary loan duties. The Bursar's Office Representative is primarily responsible for providing customer service to students and their families in the Bursar's Office. This includes explanations of bills, knowledge of financial aid processes, and payment plans. Requires adept handling of sensitive situations and a high expectation of customer service. Also responsible for receiving payments for student tuition, departmental deposits, posting of outside scholarships, and data entry of deposit information utilizing the TouchNet cashiering system and Banner programs. Daily responsibilities also include handling all inquiries for past-due balances for non-registered students.
