The Department of Biological Sciences at Seton Hall University seeks a full-time contract faculty member. The Department of Biological Sciences is undergoing rapid growth and seeks to develop areas in the fields of data science, biochemistry, cancer biology, and environmental science. The Department of Biological Sciences offers a diverse research environment with 12 primary faculty members studying interactions within the disciplines of molecular biology, bone biology, immunology, neuroendocrinology, and virology. Director of Accounts Payable in South Orange
The Director of Accounts Payable provides transformational leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction to modernize Seton Hall’s AP function, driving efficiency, automation, and financial controls. This role enhances payment operations, risk management, and compliance by developing policies, optimizing workflows, and leveraging technology to streamline AP processes. The Director leads AP in strengthening process governance, implementing automation, and improving financial controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency. This position develops and executes a roadmap focused on increased automation as well as collaboration with Procurement, Treasury, and Finance to optimize vendor payments, reporting capabilities, and financial transparency. Aligning with Seton Hall’s Adapt ‘25 initiative, this role advances scalable automation, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Through continuous process improvement and technology integration, the Director positions AP as a high-performing function supporting Seton Hall’s long-term financial strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement & Campaign Communications, the Communications Manager collaborates with colleagues, consultants, and other members of the University community to design, create content for, manage, and measure the effectiveness of high-quality advancement and campaign communications in support of the philanthropy team. Associate Dean for STEM and Research in South Orange
Reporting directly to the Dean of Arts and Sciences, the Associate Dean for STEM and Research will advance grantsmanship across disciplines, student recruitment and retention at the undergraduate and graduate levels, steward academic program development and differentiation, improve and expand experiential learning opportunities, and facilitate student success in the STEM fields of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Associate Dean will also advance faculty research in the College across all fields of inquiry, including the humanities, the social sciences, as well as the STEM fields. The successful candidate will promote competitive external grant funding by aligning faculty with funding opportunities and facilitating proposal submissions. More generally, the Associate Dean will collaborate on strategic initiatives, special projects, faculty recruitment, personnel matters and other endeavors as assigned by the Dean.
