JOB SUMMARY:
SHU Libraries Data Services is seeking a student worker who will assist and support the Data Services Team. This position will assist with conducting research; performing quantitative, qualitative, and data visualization analysis; and assisting with writing for publications and presentations. Training will be provided.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assisting with transcription of interviews
● Learning how to use data analysis software
● Maintaining and organizing data files
● Assisting with coding interviews and running reports
● Maintaining a Reference List
● Assisting with research for literature review for articles
● Assisting with writing an article and/or conference presentation
● Creating data visualizations from data
● Participating in analyzing data
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
● Willingness to learn new technology
● Ability to commit at least two hours per week
● Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and listening)
● Strong attention to detail follow up with students faculty or staff
● Willingness to follow up with students, faculty, or staff
