JOB SUMMARY:

The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) is seeking top-level, organized, team-oriented and innovative student leaders to assist with the preparation and implementation of large, signature campus events. This position will gain valuable experience in event management, logistics, budgeting, marketing, and communication. This position will assist with programs and projects for Student Activities Board (SAB) and the  Office of Student Engagement (OSE).

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Student Activities Board Director is responsible for the coordination and programmatic efforts of the Student Activities Board ensuring the board is meeting their goals, adhering to the organization’s mission, and offering a robust variety of events. The SAB Director serves as the primary contact for the organization and represents SAB at campus-wide initiatives.

 

• Manages the successful coordination of SAB personnel and their events ensuring that responsibilities and expectations are being met

• Responsible for managing the creation of a comprehensive calendar of events per semester in partnership with the board

• Organize Leadership meetings and Street Team meetings; Create agendas and/or presentations with input from coordinators and advisers

• Work with the SAB advisers in developing programmatic goals and strategies for the organization and with the planning and coordination of trainings and retreats

• Manage processes for pre-event and post-event tasks such as event deadlines, shift sign-ups, after-event evaluation, and attendance; Report out at Leadership meetings

• Maintain SAB e-mail account and respond to e-mail inquiries in a timely manner

• Represent SAB in cross-collaborative meetings/initiatives with other organizations and departments such as meetings, ceremonies, conferences, and other events

• Coordinate team bonding and professional development opportunities for the organization through collaborations with campus departments and alumni
