Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management: Assist in the organization, categorization, and maintenance of clothing inventory, ensuring items are properly sorted, sized, and displayed.
• Client Services: Provide exceptional customer service to Pirate's Closet visitors, including students, staff, and faculty, by assisting them with clothing selections, offering styling advice, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Donation Management: Oversee the intake and processing of clothing donations, ensuring they are sorted, and stored appropriately.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and supervise student volunteers assisting at the Pirate's Closet, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks.
• Outreach and Promotion: Assist in planning and implementing marketing strategies to promote the Pirate's Closet, including social media campaigns, campus-wide events, and collaborations with other student organizations and departments.
• Client Outreach Initiatives: Develop and execute outreach initiatives to raise awareness of the Pirate's Closet services and resources, targeting underrepresented and marginalized populations on campus.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and maintain accurate data on Pirate's Closet utilization, including client demographics and satisfaction surveys, and generate reports as needed.
• Clothing Drives and Fundraising: Coordinate clothing drives and fundraising initiatives to expand the inventory and financial resources of the Pirate's Closet.
• Collaborate with Campus Partners: Work closely with other campus departments, such as student services, sustainability initiatives, and community service programs, to foster collaborations and partnerships that support the Pirate's Closet mission.
• Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and responding to email inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
• Enrollment in a Seton Hall University graduate program is required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Knowledge and sensitivity to issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the context of clothing access and affordability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a strong sense of initiative and responsibility.
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with fashion trends, clothing sizing, and styling techniques.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, volunteer management, or related fields is preferred.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate Pirate's Closet events and initiatives.
Physical Demands:
Pre-event set up and post event breakdown.
