Responsibilities:

  • -Daily, weekly, and monthly work will include assisting with research projects, preparing activities for after-school programs, public relations, community outreach, and event planning. Work may also consist of assisting with general office work such as data entry, typing, social media management, answering phones, preparation of mailings, and other clerical tasks.
    -During semesters, serve as a Service Program Leader, supervising student groups of 5-20, as they complete service with community partners.
    -During the summer, assist with planning for fall 2022 service learning programs by updating a database of potential program partners, contacting local nonprofit organizations, and developing resources for students.
    -Assist in CCRE’s efforts to create a community-based immigration center/Center for Social Justice.

Qualifications:

  • -Must be a current Seton Hall University student
    -Familiarity with department/office procedures.
    -Professional attitude, good written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, ability to stay self-motivated, and leadership skills to supervise peers are required.
    -Competency in Microsoft Office Apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
    -Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
  • -Preferred experience developing and managing service learning programs
